Jeff Barnhardt - General Manager / Instructor / Coach
Jeff, a native of Mansfield Massachusetts, knew he wanted to be a baseball coach early. By his junior year in high school, he was already coaching kids on an AAU team out of Franklin, MA. While attending college, Jeff headed up a couple of AAU teams at Extra Innings in Wrentham. Two of Jeff’s teams were ranked top 10 in the country. Since 2005, he has been an instructor and coach at Extra Innings-Wrentham. Jeff’s 2013 Hornet’s U12 team was a top contender in New England with a record of 18-4-1. During the winter months, you’ll find various college and pro players stop by and take their reps with Jeff. Some of them have been under his instruction since they were on the early AAU teams. Jeff is the General Manager of Extra Innings and Director of the New England AAU Hornet’s baseball program. He holds a BA in Sociology and Special Education from Bridgewater State University.
Nick Ahearn - Extra Innings Instructor
Nick is a graduate of Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, MA. While at Xaverian, Nick earned the Unsung Hero Award, Division 1 South Sectional MVP, and a state championship in 2012. He also participated in the 2010 and 2011 Bay State Games. Nick continues his success on the field at Babson College where he earned the lowest in-conference (NEWMAC) ERA (0.56) as a Freshman. He was also selected to the InterCity Summer League All-Star team. Nick is available for hitting, pitching, and fielding lessons.
Kelly Albert - Extra Innings Instructor
Kelly Albert recently moved to the Foxboro/Wrentham area from Northern California where she has spent the last six years coaching/training youth softball throughout the Monterey Peninsula. When Kelly finished her college playing she began conducting private lessons with girls ages 8-17, which pointed her in the direction of starting a non-profit Fast pitch organization called the Monterey Mad dogs. Kelly was the head coach of the Mad Dogs for 4 years, competing at the highest level of competition from the 10u-14u divisions. Under Kelly's direction, the Mad Dogs advanced to the ASA class "A" Nationals twice, and never finished with a losing record. For the past two years, Kelly has been the Assistant Varsity Softball Coach for Notre Dame High School of Salinas in California, a perennial state championship contender. Kelly currently is in transition of the move from California to Massachusetts and is excited about the prospect of passing her softball knowledge and expertise to the young softball players of Foxboro and surrounding areas. Kelly specializes in pitching lessons and is available for private lessons.
Lindsay Allison - Extra Innings Instructor
Lindsay grew up in Easton, MA and attended Oliver Ames High School. While at OA, Lindsay earned the starting catching and she was a Co-Captain. After high school, Lindsay went on to catch for the Bears at Bridgewater State. Lindsay was a Co-Captain at Bridgewater State and helped lead her team to three NCAA qualifiers. In 2012, Lindsay coached the Davenport Division Championship team. Lindsay continues her coaching at Oliver Ames High School as the Head Varsity Softball Coach. Lindsay is available for hitting, catching, and fielding lessons.
Natalia Bouyea - Extra Innings Instructor
Natalia grew up in East Longmeadow where she attended East Longmeadow High School. While at East Longmeadow, she earned the team MVP and Captain her senior year. Natalia continued playing summer softball for the Mass Whips where she was able to go to the Pony Nationals on two separate occasions. She was also able to play with the CT Panthers Gold softball club as well. Natalia currently attends UMass Boston where she is a 2 year captain, has been named to the All-Conference team, and helped lead her team to the playoffs for the first time in the programs history. Natalia is available for fielding and hitting lessons.
Keith Brachold - Extra Innings Instructor
Keith grew up in Norfolk and attended Bishop Feehan high school. He was then able to continue playing at Marist College in New York. While at Marist, Keith finished his last three seasons in the top five in batting average. After Marist, Keith has been playing in the Independent League circuit. He has played in the CanAm League, United League, and the Frontier League. Keith’s best professional season came in 2012 where he was named a Can-Am League All-Star as a member of the Rockland Boulders. He ended the season batting .259 with 18 doubles, two triples, 29 home runs, 84 RBIs and 80 runs scored in 99 games for the Boulders last season. He led the Can-Am League in home runs, RBIs, runs scored, total bases (210) and extra-base hits (49).
Ashley Bragg - Extra Innings Instructor
Ashley played high school softball for Caravel Academy in Bear, DE. At Caravel, she played for four state championships, winning in 2006, and was a 3 time All-State selection. While in high school, Ashley also played for the Newtown Rock Gold softball team. She went on to play Division 1 softball at Rutgers University, where she was a 4 year starter at shortstop. As a team captain, she helped lead Rutgers to 3 playoff appearances. After her sophomore year at Rutgers, Ashley represented the USA in an international tournament in Australia. The team, comprised of top Big East players, competed against the Australian Junior National team and won the tournament. She was an assistant coach for the Delaware Magic softball organization for 4 years before relocating to Mansfield, MA and has coached clinics with college softball coaches throughout the country. Ashley is available for fielding and hitting lessons.
Tyler Campo - Extra Innings Instructor
Tyler spent his high school career at Xaverian Brothers in Westwood, MA. While at Xaverian, he was the MVP of the JV baseball team, went to two state championship games, and helped Xaverian to a state title his senior year. After graduating from Xaverian, Tyler brought his game to Roger Williams University. As a freshman he was named the starting center fielder. Tyler was selected to the All-Academic team for those who achieved a GPA above 3.4. He continues to play throughout the summer in the Boston Park League as well as working Extra Innings clinics and instructing in private fielding and hitting lessons.
Glen Conlon - Extra Innings Instructor
Glen has been an area coach for the past 12 years. He started as a high school freshman coach and maintained that position for seven years before becoming a Varsity Assistant. For the past four seasons Glen has been a Varsity Head Coach in the Hockomock League. Along with coaching high school baseball, Glen has been a Fall Baseball coach for the past six years. In the past several years Glen has also volunteered his time to help out as a coach with Foxboro Youth Baseball. Glen is available for hitting, fielding, and pitching lessons.
Ryan D’Arcy - Extra Innings Instructor
Ryan grew up in Franklin, MA. He played five years of AAU travel baseball and in 2006 he was on a National Championship team. Ryan played his high school ball at Sharon High where he was a pitcher and first baseman. After high school Ryan went on to a prep year at Bridgton Academy in Maine, which helped land him at Frostburg State University in Maryland. He continued his playing career at Frostburg as a pitcher and first baseman for the Bobcats. Ryan is available for pitching, fielding, and hitting lessons.
Steve Dunlea - Extra Innings Instructor
Steve Dunlea was a three year letter winner and team MVP at Medfield High School. During his time at Medfield, he also lead his team to the south sectional finals and threw two no hitters during his senior season. Steve then went on to pitch at Boston College for four years. He was able to pitch against the Boston Red Sox each of his four years in their annual exhibition games and was named Co-Captain his senior year. After college, Coach Dunlea became the pitching coach at UMass Boston for two years before starting his teaching career in Mansfield, MA. He held the pitching coach job at Mansfield High School before starting his family. Steve is currently in his 14th year of teaching in Mansfield and will be available for pitching lesson at Extra Innings Wrentham.
Greg Hopkins - Extra Innings Instructor
Greg grew up in nearby Mansfield, MA and attended Bishop Feehan high school. He then went on to play collegiately at St. John’s University from 2008-2010. During his college years, Greg was able to accomplish a lot of accolades. The Red Storm were the 2010 Big East Champions, Greg earned the Virginia Valley League MVP award in 2009, as well as the Virginia Valley League Championship also in 2009. Greg went on to get drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 24th round of the 2010 First-Year player draft, where he signed and took his game professionally. Greg has helped both the Helena Brewers (2010) and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (2012) to league championships. Greg also was named a Midwest League Mid-Season All-Star and Midwest League Player of the Week in 2012. Greg is available for private hitting and fielding lessons.
Kristen Jackman - Extra Innings Instructor
Kristen, a Stoughton native, attended Cardinal Spellman of Brockton where she played both second and third base. In starting four years with the Cardinals, Kristen won the Division II State Championship (2003) and garnered several accolades like being named to the Boston Globe All-Scholastic list. After graduating from Spellman, Kristen went on to play second base at Bridgewater State, before transferring to Curry College where she played shortstop and served as Captain. At BSC, Kristen was named first-team All- Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference second baseman and at Curry she was name first-team All- Commonwealth Coast Conference shortstop. In her career at Curry, Kristen had over 400 at bats with less than 10 strike outs, and was named “Toughest to Strike Out” by the NCAA in 2010. Kristen currently teaches within the Boston Public School system. Kristen is available for fielding and hitting lessons.
Meghan Jackman - Extra Innings Instructor
Meghan grew up in Bridgewater and attended Bridgewater Raynham Regional High School, where she caught and was named captain. Throughout high school and into college, Meghan dedicated much time training and playing with the Diamond Dawgs Junior Olympic team out of Brockton, where she was able to hone in on offensive and defensive skills. After graduating high school, Meghan went on to catch for four years for the Falcons of Fitchburg State. Since college, Meghan has built a career in empowering inner city youth through sport and recreation. Meghan is available for catching, fielding, and hitting lessons.
Kenny MacDonald - Extra Innings Instructor
Kenny grew up in Franklin, MA and attended Franklin High School where he played his high school baseball. Upon graduation, Kenny enrolled at UMass Dartmouth where he continued his playing career. His leadership on the field as a player has turned into his coaching. Kenny’s background in pitching has helped him become a high school baseball coach at Hopkinton High School. Kenny strives to build his team’s and player’s skills through hard work, good sportsmanship, and the opportunity to improve through practice.
Matt Manders - Extra Innings Instructor
Matt is originally from Avon, Massachusetts, where he attended Blue Hills Technical High School in Canton, Massachusetts. He played his collegiate ball at Massasoit Community College. Matt has 13 years of indoor facility experience with camps and clinics at the South Shore Baseball Club in Hingham, Massachusetts and Connecticut Baseball Academy in East Hartford, Connecticut. Matt has 12 years of travel baseball coaching experience with South Shore Seadogs, Team Connecticut Baseball and East Cobb New England. From 2012-2013 Matt was an assistant coach under NJCAA Hall of Fame coach Tom Frizzell at Massasoit Community College. In June 2013, Matt has accepted the position of Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Blue Hills Technical High School.
Melissa McNamara - Extra Innings Instructor
Melissa grew up in Stoughton, MA and attended Stoughton High School. While at SHS, Melissa earned her spot as the shortstop and she was a Co-Captain her senior year. After high school, Melissa went on to play for the Bears at Bridgewater State College. In her time there, the team qualified for the NCAA tournament twice. She has been an Assistant Softball Coach at Oliver Ames High School in Easton, Ma for the past four years. Melissa is available for hitting and fielding lessons.
Kaitlin Morelli - Extra Innings Instructor
Kaitlin pitched for Milford High School and graduated in 2006. She pitched at both Roger Williams University and Bridgewater State College. During her career at Bridgewater State the Bears won several MASCAC championships and played in the NCAA tournament. Kaitlin is the assistant varsity coach at Bridgewater-Raynham high school for the past two seasons. Her high school team has won titles of OCL and South Sectional champions including an incredible 2013 season finishing 23-1. Kaitlin is available for softball pitching lessons.
Justin O'Brien - Extra Innings Instructor
Justin comes to Extra Innings with a world of experience and a great deal of knowledge for the game. Justin set many records during his playing days at both the high school & college level. He has traveled the country playing AAU baseball from the ages 11-17 (Ballplayers out of Ashland, MA). At King Phillip High School, Justin played for a state championship team his sophomore year and broke the school strikeout record while going 8-0 his senior year. That season he was a Sun Chronicle All-Star, Hockomock League All-Star, and team MVP. After graduating from King Philip, Justin took his game to Springfield College where he pitched for four years. After finishing up at Springfield College, Justin has been an assistant coach of a varsity baseball team as well as a head coach at the AAU level. Justin is currently available for private pitching lessons at Extra Innings Wrentham and will also instruct at our pitching clinics.
Myles Proe - Extra Innings Instructor
Myles pitched for Salve Regina University Seahawks - NCAA, Graduated in 2010 with a B.S. in Economics. Myles was a Cape Cod League & NECBL Invitee for summer baseball while in college. Prior to Salve Regina, Myles was a 4 Year Starter at Xaverian Brothers High School and was named the 2006 Varsity Baseball Award Winner his senior year. While at Xaverian, Myles was a 4 Year Starting Pitcher for Norfolk Legion. Currently, Myles plays in the Boston Park League for Irish Village and has also logged some innings with Wrentham Wren’s (Cranberry League), Clarmac’s baseball, and the Franklin A’s. Myles is available for Pitching, Fielding, and Hitting Lessons.
Keith Tompkins - Extra Innings Instructor
Keith graduated from Foxboro High in 2002, where as a senior he was voted to the Hockomock League All-Star team. Keith played summer ball throughout high school with Walpole Legion until he was 19. He still continued to play as well as manage the Wrentham Wrens of the Cranberry league while also being the head coach for the Walpole freshman baseball team. Keith is the lead catching instructor and is available for catching lessons as well as hitting and pitching lessons.
Katie Zuman - Extra Innings Instructor
Coach Zuman is entering her ninth year coaching at Mount Ida College, her seventh as Head Coach. She brings much knowledge and experience to her program and coaching. A Wheaton College graduate, she started all four years in centerfield as well as shortstop, and earned the honor of Captain her senior year. She also earned many accolades such as two-time Regional All-American, New-8 Rookie of the Year, NEWMAC All Conference, NEISCA All-Star and ECAC All-Star. Coach Zuman is in the Top 10 All-Time in the Wheaton Softball career record books for runs scored (138), hits (189), doubles (34), triples (9), and stolen bases (44). She also helped lead the Lyons advance to the College World Series in her senior year, compiling a 45-9 record and finishing third in the country in Division III. Upon graduation, she was an Assistant Coach of Women’s Varsity Softball and Head Coach of the JV team at Springfield College, where she also earned a Master’s Degree in Sport Management.
